Definitely not a flattering pic, but at least I remembered to take it on time!

Baby Shower at work!

It was supposed to be a surprise...but I don't "do" surprises... :) I found out beforehand, but played along. I was legitimately surprised when I walked in the room b/c it was more than I had imagined! There were about 20 people there and they had Baby Boy decorations everywhere! We had pizza (thank god b/c they had scheduled a fake meeting from 11:30-1pm to get me to the room, so I hadn't eaten), tons of snacks, cake and dessert.

They bought us our highchair! Also a variety of little items (rattles, bowls, spoons, bib), a cute shirt that says "My 1st Giants tee", and a couple of the woman bought individual gifts and we got a couple more cute outfits and also a photo album.

Probably the nicest hour and half I have spent at work in a long time!

Getting ready!

I put together the Snap-n-go stroller and even snapped the infant seat into it! I took it on a test drive around the living room and I liked it! I also put together the Diaper Champ...if putting the lid on it can be considered "putting something together"! I thought about putting together the newborn rocker...b/c it was small...but there were WAY too many parts and I just didn't get the directions! So, I saved that one for Scott, along with the Pack-n-Play!

Rocker and Baby's coming home outfit

Rocking Chair put together by Daddy to be and the "coming home" outfit picked out by Daddy!

Baby Laundry!

I think the last time I enjoyed doing laundry was probably the first time my mom let me do it when I was little... although washing itty-bitty baby clothes today was a lot of fun!!

Baby Belly - 35 weeks! (35 days to go!)

Very happy after a nice spa day (and check out how clean that carpet looks!)

He's not breech anymore!

Yay! Not sure when he turned, but he did! I think it was probably in the past couple of days. Scott came with me to the doctor today b/c he is on vacation. We got a nice surprise, the mid-wife used the in-room ultrasound machine and determined he is head down! We got to see him sucking his thumb, and she pointed out a leg bone at one point. It was really hard to see what was what, since the quality of this machine was pretty low. Of course, Scott had to confirm that there were indeed two legs...since she had just mentioned the one leg bone! He made mention that he liked one of the shots and she printed it out for us. Honestly, I have no real clue what is what. Scott says it's a profile shot of his head, one eye is showing, he has one arm up over his head and that his thumb is in his mouth. Oh, and for the third time it's been confirmed that HE is definitely a HE! Good thing with the nursery being painted and all of the cute totally non-neutral stuff we have!

Posing in the nursery!

We have a nursery!

No more guest room! Scott cleaned everything out of the room and painted it yesterday! It looks SO good. I was a bit worried that it might end up being too light, but it actually turned out to be the perfect color. Hopefully we'll get the glider this weekend, and maybe a changing table. I'd also like to find a rug and hang up the curtains.

Nice gesture!

The sweetest lady at the snack kiosk at work always asks me how I'm doing (and how baby is doing!). I felt like having a coffee today b/c the decaf was actually flavored, and what goes better with coffee than a chocolate chip cookie, right?

Well, when she rang me up, she didn't charge me for my cookie. She said it was a present for the baby and she hoped he enjoyed it.

He thoroughly enjoyed it and happily head butted my rib cage for the rest of my day.

Dear Strange Lady Who Works on my Floor,

I don't even know your name, so what makes you think it's okay to corner me in the bathroom and ask me how much weight I've gained?

Telling me how cute I look isn't going to get you the information you are seeking. Saying that I'm "all belly" won't either. Commenting on how I have the greatest maternity clothes, still isn't going to cut it.

In case you forgot, you already asked me this very question last week and since I was so shocked by your forwardness, I lied to your face and made up a number. A low, low number :)

You seem like a nice enough person, but really...ask me that again, and I may resort to asking you why you think your hairstyle from the '80s is still in fashion, or if you realize that you are probably one of very few people who still own a banana hair clip, or I may just tell you how hideous your shoes are.

Stop focusing on me darling, and start taking a look at yourself.

Sincerely,
Melissa (yes, I have a name).

Funny!

I found a great website where you can basically design your own onesies! I think Baby Boy Rossi may be sporting this one when he goes to watch his Daddy play or even when he coaches!

Diaper Bag!

Cross this one off the list! We found one that we both like!

Add the rug back to this list of things to buy!

What a saga...it's available, but too expensive. It goes on sale, but is unavailable. It's available again and still on sale. I buy it. I get a letter from Pottery Barn Kids weeks later saying that they do not have anymore and don't see having any in the foreseeable future. Grrrr.

Wall Letters...

Should it be so complicated?? One thing on the to-do list that I'd to cross off, seems so simple. Buy wooden letters that spell out his name. Since we're like 99.9% sure on the name...I'd like to take the plunge, buy the necessary letters and paint them. Then I'll know for 100% certain what his name will be :)

Last weekend, Babies R Us was missing one letter, so we couldn't buy letters there. Michaels was missing one letter as well, different from Babies R Us, but they were different styles, so not like we could mix and match.

This weekend, a different Michaels is missing the same darn letter as the Michaels from last weekend! Joann Fabrics had miniature letters, so I didn't bother to see if they had the right ones.

I'm going to find them online. Tonight. Otherwise, I'm taking this as a sign that perhaps we have not chosen the right name!!

And no...I don't need your help finding the letters....I will not be tricked into telling anyone the name just yet! :)

So many gifts!! Such generous friends and family!
