Dear Max,
You are three months old today. I can't even believe how quickly time is passing. It seems like we took you home from the hospital just yesterday. Daddy and I looked through our pictures of you and it's amazing how much you have changed. You were such a little peanut (an orange one at that) when we took you home from the hospital. You looked so tiny in your car seat. Now you are growing into such a beautiful little boy.
You are holding your head up pretty well on your own. You can sit for a little while in your Bumbo seat without slumping over. You love it when we prop you up on the couch and have 'conversations' with you. Boy do you have a lot to say. You first 'word' was ah-goo. You've branched out to such things as ah-boo, and lots of ayyyye and heeeey noises as well. Your facial expressions are so amusing. You raise your eyebrows and sometimes scrunch your nose when you try to get your message across.
You smiled at exactly six weeks and you have not stopped since. You especially love to smile when you are on your changing table. You love to have your hair brushed when you are on the changing table. It makes you grin from ear to ear. It's so adorable. You love spending time in your swing, but are not a fan of your playmat. Tummy time is tough with you! Daddy works with you on tummy time in his lap. He makes you do 'reps'. You are much better at picking your head up for him than you are for me! You also love when we sing and move to "The Wheels on the Bus". The wipers going "swish" and the horn going "toot-toot" are your favorites!
You are sleeping in your crib for the first time right now as I write this. Of course I can't leave your side so I'm typing from the rocking chair. You can't spend the whole night here, Mommy didn't fully read the instructions on the monitor which apparently needs to charge 15 hours first. Oops. We may try for a whole night in the crib tomorrow. Although I think I will greatly miss having you right next to me in your basinett. I like to check on you from time to time JUST to make sure you are okay!
I'm still amazed at how perfect you are. Daddy and I cannot figure out who you look like, but it doesn't matter. You are the cutest baby in the world as far as we are concerned. Happy 3 months Baby Maxwell. I love you Little Buddy!
