Future beancounter like his Auntie Amy?

Max decided to count to 7 tonight. He's typically counted 2, 4, 6, 10. Tonight, while reading a Peek-a-boo book before bed, I pointed to the firefighters. I counted the first, "1", and then pointed to the rest and we went from one to the next, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ?! He amazes me more and more everyday!

I'm wondering when more of the alphabet will come into play. Right now he'll chime in on G, M, O, P, V, Z.

Singing songs!

We've been listening to the music CD from his spring class for awhile in the car. Lately, Max has chimed in on certain sounds and rhythms. The other day, he actually sang some of one of the songs! It talks about watching the ponies galloping, and then towards the end it says the ponies are all tired out and repeats it 3 times. We were driving in the car, and from the backseat we hear the cutest little voice signing "all tired out", "all tired out", "all tired out". Out may have sounded more like down...but close enough! He is so freaking cute!

More words!

Today we were going into the grocery store and we saw pumpkins. I told Max they were pumpkins, like the ones in his new Halloween book. When we left, he said pumpkin! He also said Santa earlier. I gave him a Christmas book to distract him while trying to change his diaper and said Santa. He kept repeating it. He's just so smart :) and totally ready for the holidays!!

I've been so bad about keeping track, but here are the latest new things Max says:

-baby

-sheep
-cheese
-apple
-Thomas, Percy, James (can pick them out in the books or on tv)
-Sam (Loves Fireman Sam, of course, b/c Ryan does)
-Caillou
-kids
-bikes
-finally says yes with regularity!
-poop (and tells us when he does that!)
-beach
-boat
-crab
-water
-happy
-beep beep (when we sing, the horn on the bus goes...and he says beep, beep, beep)
-two, six, ten (when we count and pause he adds in those numbers)
-G, P (when we sing the A, B, Cs he adds in these letters at the right time)
-chair
-get down
-sit
-Max
-Rossi

Other stuff, he's totally mastered climbing and loves to go up and down stairs, up and down the slide and climber outside

When you ask for a kiss, he'll lean in and plant his wet drooly mouth on yours!

He loves to say Bye to people. He shouts it as loud as he can.

He loves to listen to his Music Together CD and can now even clap at the right points of songs and can also sing some of the words at the right time!

Baby Rossi 2.0

I think I can feel this little baby moving around. It's hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure. So exciting.

Max has started saying "baby" with regularity. He can recognize them in books, and knows the difference between a baby and kid. So cute! He doesn't like it when the daycare teacher holds the itty bitty babies...I hope he changes his mind when it's me holding his brother or sister!!

Max's words and other fun stuff he does

He talks so much now. He says: mama, dada, yes, no, uh-oh, more, hey, hi, kitty, cat, birdie, ducky, moo, car (although he usually calls it a cah), truck, outside, his version of thank you "Tank You", Choo-choo, "Wuzz Dat?", "Wuzz Dis?". If we say "one" he will say "two".

He points at everything. He knows where his nose is and will point to it if you ask him. He will also point to someone else's nose. He loves turning the tv on and off. He also loves turning the lights on and off. He loves to wave hello and bye-bye. When we sing "If Your Happy and You Know It", he knows all of the different parts. He claps his hands, shouts hooray while waving his arms over his head and stomps his feet. He loves to play outside and swinging is one of his favorite things to do.

We signed him up for a music class that meets every Saturday. He loves it. He likes to try and sing the songs and the instruments are so fun to him (bells, drums, etc.).
