Baby's First Christmas!

How fun to get presents for Baby Rossi!! His first 'unofficial' Christmas!

He received a Baby Einstein DVD set from the Rossi grandparents. Along with two cute super-hero onesies (Spiderman and Superman)! He also has some adorable little reindeer socks waiting for his tiny feet for next year!

The Smolski grandparents got him the softest and cutest teddy bear blanket/rug. Seeing how much Lauryn liked hers (pink version!), I'm sure he will love this. He also has a super cute striped romper and a bib waiting for him!

He even received some money from his Great Uncle Todd (I'm sure we'll find something good to spend that on!).

Baby Belly - 25 weeks

Maddie's belly is growing too...maybe b/c of her frequent trips to Dunkin Donuts!

Wow...that's kind of big!

There's a website that tracks baby growth and equates it to a fruit or vegetable. I think he started as an appleseed way back when. Here's where he's at now!

More Chistmas Fun!

Yes, stockings for everyone (Toby, Tina, Maddie included)... might need to rethink that one next year!

Christmas in Spice Hill!

One of the few reasons why we don't mind this place on occasion is the annual visit from Santa and his 'elves'. The firemen decorate the truck with lights and Santa rides on top. Maddie loves this and if we end up stuck here longer than planned, I'm sure Baby Boy Rossi will love this too! I figured I'd take some pics for Ryan of the fire truck and Santa. Well, as soon as Santa saw Maddie, he started rummaging in his bag for something. Not toys...his camera! He wanted a picture with Maddie :)

Sleep?

I vaguely remember the days of getting enough sleep!

I thought now was the best time to squeeze in as much sleep as possible. Somehow my body doesn't seem to agree. I try to go to bed early, but it doesn't matter. Inevitably, I'll wake up a million times a night. Not a huge deal, unless the reason I'm waking up is because my hips hurt. Once that happens, the only way that I can sleep is sitting straight up. Fun stuff!!

Cheez-its?

Who would have thought they would be my ultimate craving... so strange! I can't leave home without them and thankfully when I forget, the work vending machine has them :)

People ask if I have weird cravings. I really don't. I just crave carbs. Tons of them. I think I could happily live off of Pillsbury rolls (thankfully they make freezer ones where you can make one at a time in the oven if you want!), Cheez-its, and Pizza. Oh well, as long as he's healthy and growing!

Baby Belly - 24 weeks

I think Maddie thought I was smuggling some food....

Even the best laid plans...

So maybe the weekend didn't turn out quite as expected!

We did get him super cute Eastern booties and a little zip hoodie. Scott says he'll be wearing it next fall at the Alumni game :)

There was no new piece for our village this year (at least as part of the Christmas package that is usually offered) and what they did have for new items was slim pickings :( We figured it wasn't a huge deal b/c we had a couple that Scott's parents gave us and we also picked up two pieces during the summer at a sale. Even still, it was a tradition that we looked forward to. At least we left G&L without spending $1!! We had an amazing lunch at the Main Street Cafe, although it was a bit depressing to see nearly every beer I love on tap!!

Ordering the furniture was a fiasco, and it looks like we may be back to the drawing board on that one. What seemed to be a great store to go to, looks like a case of mistaken identity! One person said things cost $x, in reality they are now three times as much?! So much for trying to buy local!!

We did get the tree up and nearly decorated, along with the stockings and some other decorations.

Just when I thought the stroke of bad luck for the weekend had run out, the cat managed to knock a glass off the dining room shelf, which in turn hit one of the village houses that we bought in the middle of the year from a store having a going out of business sale. Needless to say, I was devastated :(

Stupid cat. Thankfully we had spent less than $20 on it, and I'm so glad it wasn't one of the more expensive ones. Regardless, I was totally bummed out about it b/c it was really, really cute.

Here's to a better week!!

Ordering furniture tomorrow!

First of all, I can't believe I'm awake at 10:30 pm :)

I'm very excited b/c we are going to order the crib, dresser and changing table tomorrow! It's starting to feel more real every day. I'm also very excited that my parents have offered to buy the crib for us :)

We also plan to make our yearly pilgrimage to G&L Christmas Barn to buy something for our Christmas Village.

AND we plan to make a stop at the ECSU bookstore so that Baby Boy Rossi can represent Eastern and PC equally. His 'fraunties' (friend/auntie) Colleen and Erin have already made sure he will be outfitted in some PC gear.

We also plan to put up the tree and decorations tomorrow. Should be a fun and busy day!
