Stupid Peanut Butter Recall
Really, the timing of this couldn't be worse. Don't they know how much I love and depend on peanut butter? It's bad enough that work sold me a recalled Luna bar , now poor Maddie has been chomping on recalled treats. Nothing says, "good girl" like a bout of Salmonella, right? Thankfully both Maddie and I are a-okay.
The one who suffers the most here? Poor Baby Boy. He loves peanut butter. His favorite treat (used to be): one slice of honey wheat bread, a nice layer of peanut butter (spread with my fabulously wonderful new peanut butter knife), topped off with some strawberry jelly. Polish off with a glass of skim milk and he will dance around happily. It's a win/win for me...I get a fab snack and some entertainment as my belly moves around. Don't get me wrong...he moves a lot all the time...but there's nothing quite like the PB&J dance.
As I have mentioned before...I haven't had weird cravings, really just carbs (specifically Cheez-its). I guess I forgot about my need for a PB&J each and every day. As a matter of fact, PB was one of the first things that I craved that I actually had to leave the house to get. The thought of PB and graham crackers came across my mind and I needed to have it. The funniest part... it was a brand specific craving. I've always been a Skippy girl. I needed to have JIF?! I bought that first jar of JIF and have never gone back to Skippy again. Sadly, until this whole PB fiasco is over, my jar of JIF will sit in the pantry and my fabulous PB knife will not see the light of day either.

Productive Day!
It's amazing what you can do when you decide to rest and not leave the house. I just bought the pictures shown below for his room. Cross another thing off the ever growing list of things to do!

Rug
I'm trying to find a navy blue rug for his room, and of course the one I liked at Pottery Barn Kids, which finally went on sale is now sold out in the size we need. Which of course means, that it's marked up like crazy on Ebay! Back to the drawing board on that one!
Wall Decor
We're likely ordering these for his nursery walls and will have them framed. They'll definitely be able to be used for quite awhile (since he has no choice but to love the Yankees and Giants) :) We also plan to get wall letters to spell out his name (so I guess it will say T-B-D!) and also plan to hang up an old wooden lacrosse stick that Scott has. Scott is also looking for some football, baseball and hockey pennants that he used to have in his room as a kid, and we may put them up as well. I think that the walls will be all set with this stuff. God help this kid if he decides to not like sports :)
Thanks!
Baby Rossi would like to thank his Grandma and Grandpa Smolski for buying his crib for him. :)

Paint for his room-- check!
Crib/Dresser Take Two
We ordered this convertible crib made by Munire. Of course, I had an issue with the dressers that were available in the set. One was too short, the other too small. Not to mention, $600+ for a dresser is just a little insane! So, we tried our best to find a dresser that would match...we ordered the one below. I'm just wondering if it's going to be too dark. Hmmm...

First Trip to the Hospital
Had to go for visit to Labor & Delivery to be monitored for contractions. Everything turned out fine and we got to listen to him on the monitor for what felt like an eternity as they ran some tests.
