Second child syndrome...

Dear Parker,

I apologize for not posting anything to this blog for the nearly 5 months you have been in our lives! Life with two children is busy, and free-time is just non-existent! Someday you may understand!

Thankfully, you are a wonderful little boy. You love to watch your big brother. Max loves to call you Baby Brother, or Parker Brother. He comes up close to your face, and says "Baaaaaaby, it's Baaaaaaaaby". You laugh when he does it. You laugh when Max is near you, regardless of what he is doing. You laugh when he kisses you, sings "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", and you even laugh when he accidentally kicks or hits you!

You have started eating food! You have tried oatmeal and Mommy made homemade baby food for you. You liked the squash and you LOVE the sweet potatoes! We'll try something new next week. You are such a good sleeper. You fall asleep so quickly at night and you wake up so happy. You don't even cry! You laugh and make cute noises until Mommy comes to get you out of the crib. Oh, and even your crib isn't off limits to your brother. He climbs on the rocking chair and launches himself into the crib... You are starting to play with toys now, and of course, Max always wants to take them from you! You love being in your excersaucer and you have been sitting in the Jeep stroller w/o the carseat when we play with Max outside. You seem to really like being outdoors.

We've had lots of fun this summer and you seem to enjoy it to. We went to Dinosaur State park and took your first ride on the Rocky Hill Ferry (which may close later this year!). You had to stay in your carseat for that, but you looked out the window! We went to Dinosaur Place and you really liked the walk we took looking at the dinosaur statues. You really seemed to like Mystic Aquarium and looking at the fish/sharks in the tanks!

You are such a wonderful baby Parker! You love to smile and laugh (especially when Daddy or Mommy sings "Wheels on the Bus" or "If You're Happy and You Know It"). Oh, and you are definitely a thumb sucker!! No paci for you! You look similar to your brother/Daddy...but resemble Mommy a little bit more. You were born with so much hair...and there is a patch on top that just keeps growing! We may have to give you a trim before your baptism next weekend.

Love you Parker...

Mommy :)
